If you are using resources from Engage NY/Eureka Math and desire to teach using a more student-centered, structured discovery approach using the 4E Model consider the following: 

 

4E Phase  Materials to Use 
Math Talk or Routine (10 mins) Number Talks
Routines- Estimation 180 
Launch and Explore (15 mins) Application Problem or Problem from end of Engage NY, tasks need to be cognitively-demanding example here
Discuss (8-15 mins) Students share strategies of the application problem  
Elaborate/Extend 
(most of block) 

Digital learning

Math games- NCDPI games

Tasks- NCDPI tasks, Illustrative mathematics tasks, Engage NY problem sets

Teacher-led small groups- Various materials including concept development problems but not script from Engage NY in a small group setting
